
Iago,it is a bad character with many features. This character is always be friends but all at once from anybody. Iago makes deception to obtain a benefit that returning to his own. I understand that this character lives with much resentment towards other people and is not happy. Iago hopes that the others being unhappyin. In the Drama of Shakespeare I can understand that Iago n wants to do damage: Cassio, Othello and Desdemona. Iago wants Killing Casio, destroy Othello and Desdemona of detachment.
These characteristics can be noted in the Act I of the drama when Iago tells Othello that was nearing to kill Rodrigo. This it is a lie because Iago had a "friendship" with Rodrigo. Iago later in Act I Iago tells Rodrigo to raise money and persecuting Othello and then get to Desdemona when it is tired of Othello. These features are not typical of a good friend. Rodrigo are in love with Desdemona and he do anything to get it no matter the price it cost. Iago wants to destroy Othello because it gave the post of lieutenant to Cassio and not for him. This gives a lot of courage to Iago. Iago to get revenge it lays to Rodrigo and say that Desdemona loves Cassio. Iago wants to kill Cassio because this is not given the post of lieutenant and gave it to Othello.
Iago also creates enmity between Othello and Cassio because Iago tell to Othello that his wife is in love with Cassio. Thereafter, Act III, is starting jealousy of Othello to Desdemona. Cassio is going to speak with Desdemona. Othello arrives at that time and sees them talking. Desdemona was surprised by the attitude of courage that Othello had. It falls to Desdemona a handkerchief and Emilia taking. Iago put the handkerchief in Cassio’s room. Cassio takes it without knowing who the handkerchief. Cassio gives this handkerchief to Bianca.
In Act IV Iago tells Othello hear a conversation secretly to verify that Desdemona it is unfaithful with Cassio. Cassio was not talking about Desdemona. But Othello don’t think that and was jealous. Then Iago persuaded Rodrigo to kills Cassio. Then Iago stab Rodrigo in her back. Then came up Othello and congratulated Iago for this act. Then Othello Kill Desdemona. Iago has been responsible for everything already mentioned above.
In conclusion, Othello wants destroy Cassio because he gave to Othello the post of lieutenant that he wants. Iago do this because have jealous of Othello. Iago wants to kill Cassio because it gave him the post of lieutenant that he wanted. Iago also wanted to discredit Desdemona saying that she was unfaithful to Othello. Iago created in Othello problems whit his wife and created unhappiness killing his wife and then himself.
